Week: Thur. November 10th
Barbecue and pizza are indisputably the two most subjective types of food. Though a barbecue discussion is more likely to escalate into a frenzied food fight, pizza talk can generate some fireworks of its own. A passionate four hundred and seventy six-post discussion solely about pizza found right here on our AC forums is all the proof you'll need.
Despite the wide scale of varying pizza tastes, Bellas in Smyrna has received an overwhelmingly positive response from foodies, not just in the Smyrna area, but from all over the city. Of course, not everybody agrees, but the percentages are staggeringly high, too high to ignore.
And I suppose too high for the owners of Bellas to not consider expansion. Bellas Pizzeria has recently opened a second location at 5399 Bells Ferry Rd. in Acworth (aka lower Chattanooga).
Im not sure what the fine folks of Acworth have done to deserve a Bellas in their hood but Im jealous. Id prefer to not have to travel all the way to Smyrna for those crispy slices covered with stringy Grande cheese, delicate sauce, and Fontanini sausage. I want those fluffy meatballs like grandma used to make, and I want them close by. When will I finally be able to get one of those amazingly tender veal parmesan sandwiches in my hood, Mario?
I guess Smyrna isn't too far for the time being. Hats off to all you pizza lovers living in Acworth and the surrounding lower Chattanooga area.
And for those few who dislike Bellas; I thank you for being one less obstacle standing between me and my next slice.
