Spicy Thai bbq pork strips

My beercentric neighbors recently inquired about Thai restaurants over a few hoppy beers and a funky, obscurely labeled, bottle of red wine. We live on the Westside. They like Spoon. I like Spoon, too. But I also like Siam Square (1995 Windy Hill, Marietta, Tel: 770.333.1700) — a lot.
They all tilt their heads in bewilderment. “Where’s Siam Square?” They ask simultaneously.
“Uh, up Atlanta Road and take a right on Windy Hill.” I reply. “They have these killer BBQ pork strips,” I excitedly continue, “with a tamarind-based sauce laced with cilantro, chopped red onion, and about a zillion chili pepper seeds.”
They stare at me with raised eyebrows.
“It only costs three dollars and fifty cents.” I try to back my position. “How are the curries?” One neighbor poses.
“Velvety and rich, not too sweet like so many Americanized versions.” I tell them.
Again, no response other than random head nods and stretched eyebrows.
I personally believe that restaurant talk and alcohol don’t mix. I’d rather discuss my distaste for politicians, the corrupt tax system, and those fat cat CEOs who are lavishly living it up on our hard earned taxpayer dollars, while I’m tying one on. But I digress.
Did I mention those fiery BBQ pork strips only cost three dollars and fifty cents?
